What is Eye Rejuvenation?

Eye rejuvenation, also known as non-surgical eyelift, is a procedure wherein minimally invasive techniques and injectables are used to restore the youthful appearance of your eyes. As we grow older, the loss of collagen and elastin makes our facial skin sag and droop downwards, which, in turn, also leads to wrinkles and facial creases. Furthermore, our eyelids may also droop, become disproportional, or develop deep wrinkles that make us look tired or upset. For these reasons, we offer eye rejuvenation in Ashburn & Leesburg, VA.

Until recently, these problems could only be addressed with surgical intervention — the excess skin tissues and fat deposits would have been removed via incisions to restore tightness. However, we use non-surgical methods to achieve the same goals without incisions, scalpels, downtime, anesthesia, or complications. Non-surgical eye rejuvenation restores your skin’s collagen reserves and smoothens wrinkles, making your eyes look young and vibrant. We use numerous methods for eye rejuvenation — neuromodulators, PRP injections, mono threads, microneedling, and dermal fillers.

Eye Rejuvenation with Neuromodulators (Botox)

A neuromodulator, such as Botox or Dysport, is injected around the eyes and eyelids to suppress the dynamic wrinkles and treat drooping eyelids. When injected into targeted facial tissues, a neuromodulator smoothens the crow’s feet around the eyes and the frown lines between the eyebrows. If you’re experiencing drooping eyelids, the cosmetic doctor will also inject it into the muscles dragging your eyelids down, thereby giving you a non-surgical brow lift.

Neuromodulators are cosmetic injectables composed of a neurotoxin protein called botulinum toxin type A. This neurotoxin protein blocks the transmission of signals from nerve endings to the targeted muscles. When injected into the muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles and drooping eyelids, it makes the muscles relax, thereby smoothing the surrounding regions. The results from neuromodulators last for 3 to 4 months, following which you need maintenance treatments.

Eye Rejuvenation with PRP Injections

PRP injections, short for platelet-rich plasma injections, are performed using components derived from your blood. The cosmetic provider draws a small sample of your blood from your arm. The blood sample is spun in a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich plasmas, which are then drawn into a syringe. The PRP is carefully injected under the eyes using ultrafine needles to correct excessive puffiness or under-eye hollows.

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is a part of the human blood with a high concentration of growth factors. The growth factors, in turn, are responsible for your body’s natural healing and growth capabilities, such as healing wounds and injuries. When delivered under the eyes, PRP injections encourage the formation of new blood vessels and skin cells, making your under-eye region look smooth, soft, and youthful. This is another very popular treatment in our eye rejuvenation in Ashburn & Leesburg.

Eye Rejuvenation with
Microneedling

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a non-invasive procedure that encourages collagen production. The cosmetic provider uses a microneedling device (SkinPen) to produce numerous micro-channels on the skin’s surface around the eyes. This activates your body’s collagen production capabilities, which, in turn, makes the skin around your eyes look firm and smooth. Eye rejuvenation with microneedling reduces the visibility of fine lines and crow’s feet.

Eye Rejuvenation with
Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are injectables that restore your skin’s hyaluronic acid or collagen reserves. Some dermal fillers, such as Juvéderm and Restylane, fill out the fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes with hyaluronic acid. Other fillers, such as Sculptra, encourage your body to produce collagen fibers, which, in turn, make the skin around your eyes look smooth and taut. The results usually last for 6 to 12 months.
